Slow Cooker Ham

2 cups packed brown sugar
1 (6 ½ -pound) cured, bone-in picnic ham

Spread 1½ cups of the brown sugar onto the bottom of a 5 to 7 qt. slow cooker.  Set ham, flat side down, into slow cooker (you might have to trim it to make it fit).  Rub the remaining ½ cup sugar over ham.  Cook on Low 6 hours.

Note:  Discard the cooking liquid when it’s done cooking; it’s just sweet fat.
